The Malatya Turgut Özal University Technology Transfer Office Coordinatorship was established by the Senate Decision dated 22.05.2019, numbered 2019/12-1, under the "Regulation on Technology Transfer Offices of Higher Education Institutions," which was published in the Official Gazette dated December 7, 2017, and numbered 30263.

The office was founded to contribute to the following areas:

• The commercialization of produced knowledge and technology by converting it into practical applications.

• Establishing and developing collaboration between the university and industry.

• Transferring knowledge and technology to the industry in required fields and developing new project ideas.

• Enhancing entrepreneurship and its culture.

• Supporting patent processes and protecting intellectual and industrial property rights.
